    Transfer of new Network Extension facilities:

    Following the provisions of Royal Decree 1048/2013 of December 27, new installations executed directly by a third party, through an authorized installer, and intended to supply more than one consumer must be transferred to a distribution company and become integrated into the area's distribution network.

     

    Phases before managing a transfer:

    The facility transfer process begins with a request for access and connection, where the applicant orders the new network extension to an authorized installer.

    The steps to follow are summarized in the following chart:

    1. Access and connection request,
    2. Acceptance of the preliminary proposal,
    3. Access and connection permit, and
    4. Execution of the client's network extension project and assignment management.

    Once the preliminary access and connection proposal has been accepted, where the applicant chooses to execute the new network extension through an authorized installer, for subsequent transfer to the distribution company, the following management milestones must be met:

    1. Technical approval of the project,
    2. Review of pre-project documentation and completion of the project,
    3. Technical inspection of the project (supervision),
    4. The signing of the transfer agreement and processing of legalization and/or change of ownership of the facilities (if applicable), and
    5. Commissioning.

  • What channels are available to manage the transfer?

    • From the private area of ​​the website, you can register and track your requests, providing up-to-date information on the status and next steps until the CUPS are available for purchase.

  • Does the transfer of facilities have any costs?


    • All installations executed by a third party and transferred to the distribution company must be previously supervised and are subject to the supervision fees regulated by Order ITC 3519/2009 of December 28.

  • What elements are reviewed in the quality supervision of installations?

  • When is it necessary to reserve a space for the location of a transformer station?

    • Under Article 26.1 of Royal Decree 1048, when the supply is to be made on land in a basic urbanized condition according to Article 12.3.b of the revised text of the Land Law (Legislative Royal Decree 2/2008), and the requested power for a premises, building, or grouping thereof exceeds 100 kW, the applicant must reserve a space for the location of a transformer station.

  • Is it necessary to establish a right-of-way through private land?

    • The owner of the land where a power transmission line will be located or where the facilities necessary to supply the electricity supply will pass must authorize its use as well as the establishment of easements for the passage of the necessary power lines through said land.

  • Am I entitled to compensation?

    • You can request a compensation agreement with a third party for ten years when the facilities comply with the terms established in Royal Decree 1048/2013, leaving said infrastructure open to third-party use. 

  • How do I request a technical review of the project for the facilities to be transferred?

    • A copy of the electrical project must be sent in digital format to e-distribución, requesting the review through the channels available to manage the transfer.

      The project must comply with all current legislation affecting these facilities, current specifications for e-distribución, approved model projects and applicable technical regulations, as well as the specific technical and regulatory conditions of other organizations that may be affected by the execution planned in this project.
