What does the project involve?

With the Patios de Zaragoza project, at e‑distribución we want to improve the low-voltage electrical infrastructure to guarantee safety and supply quality for residents.

At the same time, we carry out the works as sustainably as possible and with the involvement of the local community.

Where is it taking place?

The project is being rolled out in a block in Zaragoza's central district, consisting of six residential communities.

It affects buildings located on the following streets:

  • Pedro María Ric
  • San Vicente Mártir
  • Paseo de las Damas
  • León XIII

Project phases

The project is divided into three phases, which are carried out progressively:

1. Exterior works

  • Trenches will be opened on the pavements of the affected streets.
  • Seven new underground networks will be built.
  • General protection boxes (CGPs) will be installed on the facades.
  • e‑distribución will carry out this phase, which will last approximately 6 weeks.

2. Internal connections

  • Once the CGPs are installed, each community will connect its building to the new system.
  • These works will be carried out by the installation company hired by each community.
  • The approximate duration is 1 to 4 weeks, depending on the building's characteristics.

3. Removal of old internal networks

  • When all building entrances are connected, the old cables and elements will be removed from the interior courtyards.
  • e‑distribución will carry out the works with the consent of the communities.
  • Some works will be done at height, using specialist companies.
  • The approximate duration is 4 weeks.

    The new network provides access to the installation for proper operation and maintenance.
  • Improved supply quality
    Installation of general protection boxes, which were previously non-existent.

    Improved visual appearance of the courtyards and an increase in building value.
